Xiaomi Mi Max Gets Android 7.0 Nougat UpdateJune 26, 2017
The Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone which was launched last year is now receiving an Android 7.0 Nougat based beta MIUI 8.5.1 update.
The news comes from a Facebook Group “Greek Xiaomi Lovers” with screenshots. Apart from the bump in Android version number, the beta global stable update is said to bring the May 2017 security patch for the smartphone and a more efficient CPU allocation and some app lock features as well.
The screenshot above also shows that the version with the update is the 3 GB RAM variant with a Snapdragon 650 processor. There is no information about the 4 GB RAM Prime version.
Xiaomi Mi Max is a dual-SIM smartphone comes with 6.44-inch 1080p display. The smartphone is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor paired with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM. The Mi Max offers 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card up to 128 GB.
Xiaomi Mi Max have an 16-megapixel back camera along with an 5-megapixel front camera. The Mi Max is powered by 4,850 mAh battery.
