Samsung’s new flagship smartphones “Galaxy S8” and “Galaxy S8+” users in US will be able to sign up to Bixby around end of this month. Samsung is going to launch an English version of its artificial intelligence (AI)-based voice assistance programme Bixby later this month for US users.
Yonhap news agency from Korea, says that the English version of Bixby is an advanced voice recognition system that comes on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones which is likely to be launched in the US and taken to other English-speaking countries.
Bixby is the company’s artificial intelligence (AI)-based voice assistant which is similar like Google Assistant. Samsung had planned to launch the English version at the end of May but it was put off due to some problems with language testing according to report.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are already having the Google Assistant. But the Bixby voice-assistant gets its own dedicated button on the phones which can be used to wake up the assistant. Users can make contextual requests to Bixby.
Bixby is a completely new way to use your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+. With Bixby you can use voice, text, or touch to say what you need since it understands all three. When you’re lost for words, open the camera and Bixby will search for you. It’s integrated into every aspect of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, so it’s able to handle the tasks you normally do on your phone and it’s constantly learning your ways so it can get better and better.
Bixby will also show you all the related information for the day like remind you to water the plants when you get home or to call someone back when you get back to the office. You can also have the reminders show on the AOD screen, Bixby Home, or the edge screen.
Bixby is the latest creation of Samsung similar to Apple’s Siri that Samsung banks on to reclaim its edge as the world’s top smartphone maker after it suffered a blow to its sales and reputation due to the unsuccessful Galaxy Note 7 which had a battery problems.
