Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Images Leaked Ahead of Official Launch
Samsung is reportedly planning to launch a “Galaxy S8 Active” smartphone which will be rugged version of the recently launched Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S8 Active is in a rumors from quit some time and has now surfaced once again online. This time some newly leaked images of the S8 Active show Galaxy S8 like design.
According to AndroidPolice the leak directly came from a Samsung employee in San Francisco. He originally uploaded a video, and images first come to a thread in the Galaxy S8 subreddit, but the thread with its videos have been removed to bring down any chances of identification.
This leaked images said to be AT&T carrier of Galaxy S8 Active appears with a model number SM-G892A and a massive 4000 mAh battery, which is 1,000 mAh big as compared to the Galaxy S8. The screen is reportedly same size as the Galaxy S8 a 5.8-inch but it’s not curved the reason behind it to provide durability.
The body is mostly made on polycarbonate but the sides are made of metal and it is thicker than Galaxy S8. The leaked images show that Samsung have ditched the trademark re-programmable Active Key for the Bixby button.
The alleged Galaxy S8 Active has been already spotted on benchmark website with the model number SM-G892A few weeks ago. The website shows the smartphone with an infinity display. The smartphone achieved a score of 1842 in the single-core test and 6394 in the multi-core test.
According to the listing it will run on the Snapdragon 835 with Android Nougat 7.0. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active could be launched with much like the Galaxy S8 with few minor changes in design and features.
