Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Note 5 Getting July Security Update
Samsung is now sending out July security update for the company’s Galaxy Note 4 device in Europe.
The update arrives as version “N910FXXS1DQG5” and weighs in at 199.19MB and transports patches for a total of 65 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) in the Android OS and 16 weaknesses in the firm’s Galaxy-branded smartphones.
However, the Galaxy Note 5 has also started getting a new update. Currently rolling out to T-Mobile units in the US, the update arrives as version N920TUVS4EQG1 and weighs in at 24.39 MB. The update brings system improvements and July security patch.
You can check if the upgrade is ready for your device by opening up Settings > Software Update and then press Download Updates Manually. If you choose not to follow these steps, it will alert you when the OTA is available to download.
