HMD Global Sends Invites for Launch Event in India on October 31, Nokia 7 is Expected
HMD Global has sent out press invites for its upcoming event in India on October 31, where the company is expected to introduce a new smartphone. The invite says “HMD Global invites you to an exclusive gathering to unveil the next milestone of Nokia Phones.”
The company has not officially confirmed the name of the smartphone, but it could be Nokia 7, which was introduced last week in the China. It could also be possible that Nokia would launch a new smartphone rumored Nokia 2, which was recently spotted on USA retailer’s Website for the price of $99.
Considering the Nokia 7, the smartphone has made equipped with 7000 series aluminum body and Corning Gorilla Glass on the back panel. Additionally, the rear panel uses 3D glass thermoforming technology for casting and features with rounded corners.
The Nokia 7 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor with 4GB and 6GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage. It comes with a 5.2-inch IPS HD display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a 16-megapixel back camera with f/1.8 aperture, along with a dual-tone LED flash and ‘bothie’ camera mode. On the front, the smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. It also comes with the “Dual-Sight mode” which uses both front and rear cameras simultaneously.
The Nokia 7 runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 operating system out of the box, which will be further upgradable to Android Oreo 8.0.
The new Nokia 7 was launched in China last week and will be going on sale starting Tuesday. The Nokia 7 has been priced for 4GB RAM at CNY 2,499 (Approx $376 USD) and 6GB RAM at CNY 2,699 (Approx $405 USD).
