Last month Huawei unveiled its Mate 10 Pro smartphone first in China and then other countries including Germany and UK alongside the standard Huawei Mate 10. The sales in the UK started a month later at a price of £770. However, the price has fallen to £700 since, and people have rushed to purchase the flagship from Huawei.
Huawei says in a statement, “the Mate 10 surpassed all previous company’s records for pre-order in Western Europe, and that it also exceeded internal sales targets for pre-order by over 100%.” However, Huawei did not reveal the exact number of pre-order devices.
Huawei is not the only company announcing record-breaking sales this week, just a few days back, OnePlus claimed that the OnePlus 5T is the fastest-selling smartphone by OnePlus.
The Mate 10 Pro is also available in many countries of Asia and is soon be launched in other countries including the US.
To recall, Mate 10 Pro boasts a bezel-less design and 6-inch display of 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Hisilicon Kirin 970 and come in two memory options 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. It sport dual rear camera consists of 20MP Monochrome + 12MP RGB along with the 8MP front camera. The smartphone is powered by 4,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 OS.
